This game Tetris has been around for almost 4 decades now, long before the likes of Minecraft, played on every console, operating system, mobile phones, and even graphing calculators. Its beauty lies in its absurdly simplistic yet, addictive gameplay, and the world wanted more from it and it has delivered time after time. Tetris celebrated its 37th birthday amid lockdown in June 2020.
With the whole world going online, the Tetris empire did not fall short and thus began the journey of Tetris Friends, a browser-based Tetris game that supported up to 8 Players’ mode and various single modes. The fans, old and new, relished it as it soared past the million registered users milestone before getting its plug pulled by the parent company, Tetris Online on May 30th 2019.
